On April 12, the "Guangzhou Quality Goods, Global Trade" AI Robot-themed exhibition, jointly organized by the District Import-Export Chamber of Commerce and the District Garment Industry Promotion Association, officially opened at the international arrival hall exit of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's T2 Terminal. Leveraging the airport's global aviation hub advantage, the event will showcase local enterprises' technological innovations to overseas visitors in batches during the 137th Canton Fair (April 12-5 May), building an international trade bridge for Guangzhou products. As of April 15, the exhibition area has attracted buyers from 40 countries and regions, with 460 clients visiting the zone and approximately 100 potential clients showing interest, totaling over $100,000 in intended transactions.

According to reports, the "Guangzhou Quality Products, Global Trade" AI Robot-themed exhibition, guided by the core philosophy of "Cloud-Initiated Journey, Intelligent Innovation, Connecting Global Demand", breaks through traditional display models. Featuring "technological visualization and demand contextualization", it focuses on five key fields: smart devices, electronics, new energy technology, construction technology, and daily chemical technology. "I just want to know how much this machine will cost," said Vladislav Zakharov, a Russian businessman who was getting off the plane to attend the Canton Fair and was interested in the robot dog on display.

At the exhibition site, I noticed several photovoltaic power generation systems, energy storage solutions, and smart controllers with minimalist yet distinctive designs that particularly caught the eye. These products were showcased by Guangzhou Filis Solar Technology Co., Ltd. "Despite the complex and volatile international trade landscape, our company successfully promoted its products at Baiyun International Airport. On the first day of the exhibition setup, we attracted a potential client who immediately took us on a factory tour – they were thoroughly impressed," explained the company's representative.

As of April 15, the exhibition area has received buyers from 40 countries and regions, with 460 clients visiting the zone, approximately 100 potential clients, and an intended amount exceeding $100,000.

Amid the current volatile import-export trade landscape, this exhibition provides Baiyun District enterprises with enhanced opportunities to showcase their products and expand into overseas markets.
The author saw at the exhibition site that the organizers also distributed the procurement and consumption guide of Baiyun District, Guangzhou to the foreign tourists who came to visit the exhibition. The guide comprehensively showed the distribution of foreign trade enterprises in Baiyun District, and also attached some information about food, accommodation and transportation.

 

"We collaborated with the Baiyun District Garment and Apparel Industry Promotion Association to develop and distribute procurement and consumption guides, aiming to help foreign business partners gain a clear understanding of Baiyun's industrial layout and business environment while experiencing its unique appeal. This initiative will enhance promotional efforts for Baiyun District and its enterprises, supporting them in securing overseas orders," stated an official from the district's Import and Export Chamber of Commerce. In addition to creating exhibition zones and producing guidance materials, the chamber actively coordinates with commerce, taxation, and customs authorities to provide premium services for local businesses. These measures aim to help companies seize opportunities arising from global supply chain restructuring and boost their international competitiveness. According to statistics, Baiyun District recorded a total foreign trade value of 16.35 billion yuan in January-February 2025, marking a 49.3% year-on-year increase and ranking second among all districts in the city.
